Pond Service & Maintenance

This service can be bi-weekly, monthly, or just a one-time stop.

When we visit your pond, we may do any or all of the following:

Testing & Checking:

Test your pond water for any unsafe levels that may exist
Check all plumbing, connections, and hardware for leaks while your pond is running
Check, clean, or replace all filter pads in skimmer and waterfall boxes

Cleaning:

Drain pond for essential water change by means of discharge pump as well as using a pond vacuum, if necessary, we will put all fish in a holding tank(s) and return them to the pond when complete
Vacuum pond bottom, skimmer, and waterfall boxes to remove debris, sludge, and silt
Remove debris, leaves, and algae from pond streams and waterfalls
Pressure wash pond to clean and remove algae and fungus
Hand clean string and hair algae

Maintenance:

Trim, remove, or add aquatic plants and fertilize pond plants as needed
Add, remove, or adjust rocks that may have shifted in waterfalls, stream, bog, and pond
Refill pond and add necessary water conditioners and algaecide to help re-establish favorable water conditions

Pond Service & Maintenance—Holly Days Ponds & Aquatics

Options With Consultation:

Spring openings and fall closings
Water pump upgrades and installs
Pond filtration upgrades and installs
Predator protection to keep fish safe from herons
Pond netting to prevent leaves & debris or fish protection
Pond aeration and deicers
Add lighting in and out of pond
Add stream, bog, or waterfall
Service and repairs to pond, water pipes, hoses, or etc.

Fees Associated With Pond Service:

All fees are billed time and material on a per man-hour basis which includes all drive time, plus any materials use. All ponds are different, so we can only give you a good faith estimate on approximate cost. A standard pond service in our local area is $120/hour plus materials (with a one hour minimum). Also, the rate is for one service technician. For large or complex work that requires more than one person, additional charges will be applied. Consultations are available upon request.

Consultation Fees:

A consultation fee will be negotiated and due at the end of the visit. Ponds outside of our local area will be charged extra due to drive time (to and from our location). If you have any questions or you would like to schedule your pond service please contact Chuck via email or phone.
